Acupuncture, Herbs, Diet, Massage Therapy, Movement Therapy, Environmental Health, Contemplation, and Meditation

At Noble Pathways this integrative approach is represented as a wheel with 8 spokes. Each spoke is a particular healing pathway we might explore together so that you may reach your destinations.

Holistic Wellness
  • Acupuncture is the 2000 year old practice of creating balance and harmony within an individual. It works on restoring health to the physical, psychological, and physiological constitutes of each of us. If the dysfunction in the body is physical acupuncture helps to release tight muscles, decrease inflammation, increase blood flow, and restore healthy function. If the dysfunction is physiological, acupuncture can help stimulate and rebalance the functions of our organs and glands. If the dysfunction is psychological and the nervous system is in a heighten state of fight or flight, acupuncture can help calm the nerves and bring a person back into mental balance.

  • Oriental Bodywork includes classical massage techniques such as Tui Na, Shiatsu, Thai and Ayurvedic Massage. These forms of bodywork focus on the connective tissue pathways of the body, rebalancing the ares of tension and weakness. Cupping and Gua Sha also work to break up stagnation in the connective fascia and use specific tools to stimulate healthy blood flow to certain areas.

  • Chinese Herbal Medicine is a practice that has been part of Oriental Medicine for more than 2000 years. Herbal formulas are an excellent method for internal medicine and help to restore normal function to all the systems of the body.

  • Mindfulness Meditation is an important aspect of cultivating good health. Most of the time we are agitated and restless with an over active mind, worrying about the future or ruminating about the past. It’s through the practice of Mindfulness that we can learn to recognize a deeper awareness within that is always calm, clear, and present.

  • Physical exercise is an important part of staying healthy. Traditional movement therapies such as Qi Gong, Tai Chi, or Yoga are excellent in integrating and connecting the physical, mental, and energetic aspects of our wellbeing.

  • Food is an integral part of our health and wellbeing and we relate to it on a number of different levels. On one hand, food is nutrition that provides the building blocks for health and longevity. On the other hand, food is a social focus that brings people together and enriches our lives. Our approach to diet is to find a balance between these two aspects.

  • In Chinese Medicine the cultivation of a healthy mind is accomplished through the practice of contemplation. Sometimes we adopt limiting or unbeneficial beliefs about ourselves and the world that trap us in unskillful behavior. By discovering new ways of looking at ourselves and the world we can help break though our limitations.

  • The practice of Feng Shui is usually understood to be the art of arranging our environment to reflect the natural flow and beauty of the space around us. In the context of Chinese Medicine the principles of Feng Shui are also applied to arranging our lifestyle to reflect flow and beauty. When we unclutter and let go of the unnecessary things from our environment and our lifestyle we learn to unclutter our our own minds and restore a sense of inner and outer harmony.
